Disc Dogathalon
A series of six short disc dog challenges that
teams of three handlers and their dogs will compete against
other like teams.
A team consists of three handlers each
with a separately designated dog. If a handler chooses to
switch their designated dog during the Dogathalon they are
allowed but the replaced dog may not be used again for the
rest of the Dogathalon. Handlers and dogs may only be on
one team. Each team needs to have a team name.
When a team is called to the
competition field all three handlers with their dogs should
come to the start area, but in any of the events only one
dog will be on the field at a time. Teams may choose their
run order when they are in the ready area.
Nature breaks will not stop the time on
the field, but will be cleaned up after the round. Field
interruptions will stop time at the judge’s / timer’s
discretion, then the round will be restarted at a fair
starting point, or (only through the judges discretion)
restarted from the beginning.
All dog safe discs will be permitted in
all six disc dog challenges. If a disc lands outside of the
field boundaries (competitor tenting, fencing) ten seconds
will be counted off the clock and if the disc is not
returned to the field by then, time will stop and a fair
restart will be set up by the timer and judge.

until the placements are decided.
